Resolution Makes a Difference for Substation Thermal Imaging

When we introduced our new ThermalSpection 724 (TS724) system, we included the MCL640 camera to gain better resolution (640 x 480). Our customers have appreciated this upgrade because the resolution really makes a difference in the clarity and quality of the images.

And, when you have better images, you can get better data to analyze and better detect failures. Earlier detection of these failures allows for true condition-based maintenance of assets, since you can constantly monitor the temperature trends. This means that utilities can decrease their reactive maintenance activities and focus on the developing failures—as they happen.

Automated, online thermal imaging solutions offer great flexibility in setup while allowing for precise, targeted monitoring of various assets, including circuit breakers, capacitors banks, current transformers, current voltage transformers, distribution transformers, bus bars, and others.
